1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using bitcoingametheory.com (the "Site"), operated by Bitcoin Game Theory ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site.

2. Description of Service

Bitcoin Game Theory is an independent research project providing game-theoretic analysis of Bitcoin as a systemic phenomenon. The Site publishes academic research papers, formal proofs, and structured analysis in RFC format. The Site may also provide user account functionality via third-party authentication providers.

3. Not Financial Advice

Nothing on this Site constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading advice, or any other sort of professional advice. All content is academic game-theoretic analysis only. You should not treat any content on this Site as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset, security, or financial instrument.

We make no price predictions. We provide no investment recommendations. We present logic and formal analysis only. You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions.

4. Content License

All research content published on this Site — including RFCs, academic papers, formal proofs, and analysis — is released under CC0 1.0 Universal — No Rights Reserved. You may copy, modify, distribute, and perform the work, even for commercial purposes, without asking permission. No attribution is required, though it is appreciated.

The Site's software, design, trademarks, and logos are not covered by CC0 and remain the property of Bitcoin Game Theory.

5. User Accounts

You may create an account using Google OAuth, GitHub OAuth, or email registration. By creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share them with others
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site's infrastructure or other users' access
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Site in a manner that degrades service for other users
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

7. Cryptocurrency Wallets

The Site may provide cryptocurrency wallet functionality associated with your account. Any such wallet is provided on an "as is" basis. We are not a custodian, exchange, or financial institution. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for the security and use of any wallet associated with your account
  • We are not responsible for any loss of funds, tokens, or digital assets
  • Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible and we cannot recover lost or stolen funds
  • We make no guarantees about the value, utility, or availability of any digital assets

8. Email Communications

If you opt in during account creation, we may send you a limited series of onboarding emails about the Site and its research content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us. We will never send unsolicited marketing emails or share your email address with third parties for their marketing purposes.

9. Third-Party Services

The Site integrates with third-party services including Google OAuth, GitHub OAuth, Supabase, Vercel, Postmark, and Microsoft Clarity. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or availability of any third-party service.

By using the Site, you consent to the collection of anonymized usage data (clicks, scrolls, page views, session recordings) by Microsoft Clarity for the purpose of improving Site navigation and user experience. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what data is collected and how it is used.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

WE MAKE NO GUARANTEES ABOUT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, OR TIMELINESS OF ANY ANALYSIS, MODEL, PROOF, OR CONCLUSION PRESENTED ON THE SITE.

11. Limitation of Liability
